Here is a classic recipe for spaghetti and meatballs:
Ingredients:1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape the mixture into 2-inch meatballs.
In an enormous skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high intensity. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and fully cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Add the crushed tomatoes and basil to the skillet and bring the sauce to a simmer. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve the meatballs the and sauce over the cooked spaghetti.
You can add some fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese as garnish.
